Ruth Calvert. I photograph finished interiors for the architects who draw them, the makers who build them and the design press that prints them. 6 commissions are in the register and 14 frames have been delivered against them, from Glasgow since 2017.
A commission buys shoot days. A license buys one rectangle out of one frame, for a stated term, in a stated territory. The two are priced apart because they are two different things, and both are on the site.

Sell files
What a client buys is usage: one rectangle, for a term, in a territory. The negative stays here.
Shoot weddings, portraits or events
The work is finished interiors and the buildings that hold them. Nothing else is offered.
Bring a lighting truck
Every frame on this site is the room's own daylight. That is why a north-facing room gets a morning and not an afternoon.
Run a proofing gallery
You get delivered frames and the license each one carries, not a card of rejects to sort.
Price on application
Every figure on this site is the figure. The day rate and the four usage fees are published.
Method
How a commission runs
Four steps from brief to delivery, and what each one needs from you.

Brief
- You
- Send the address, which way the rooms face, and where the frames will run.
- Bellows
- A day count and the usage lines come back in writing, before anything is booked.

Access
- You
- Finish the room, clear the trades and tell me its light window.
- Bellows
- I work to that window, I move nothing without asking, and the room goes back as I found it.

Shoot
- You
- Put one person on site who can say yes.
- Bellows
- I shoot to the brief, and to a fixed eye level wherever a sequence has to compare room to room.

Delivery
- You
- Confirm where each frame runs before it runs.
- Bellows
- Frames are delivered as a set, each one with the license it carries written beside it.
