How a first visit goes

Best around their first birthday, or when the first tooth arrives.

  1. They can sit on your lap, or ride the chair up and down first.
  2. Dr Ito names each tool before it goes near them.
  3. She counts their teeth with a mirror and checks how they meet.
  4. Bridget paints on the fluoride, which takes about a minute.
  5. No X-ray unless a tooth needs one, and we ask you first.
